Front Seal Upgrade. Jaguar XK 6 Engines 1955* - 1987*

Fits Jaguar and Daimler Models XJ6  1978 - 1986, XJ6 Series 3.* and all XK Engines ** except XK120 and XK140 Up To Engine # G1907

Quality Aftermarket Product. Front Oil Seal Conversion Kit. 1 per Engine

* This Conversion has been introduced an all XJ6 Series 3 from Engine number 8A1653 3.4ltr, 8L203238 4.2ltr and DS420 from Engine 7M5211 Onward.

** This Conversion should now be used for all XK crankshaft front seal replacements. This kit consist of a new PTFE Oil Seal,  Distance piece (Part # EAC8815) and '0' ring (Part # EAC8101)

This new seal EAC8815 is supplied on a mandrel which should not be removed until immediately prior to fitting the seal.

When fitting the new spacer, O-Ring and Oil Seal please note the following and always refer to the Original Workshop Manual:

• 1 This Seal Track C40147 is designed to operate without an oil flinger behind the seal and it will therefore be necessary to remove this where fitted. As the flinger cannot be withdrawn from the crankshaft with the timing cover in place, cut into the notches with suitable metal shears and discard the segments. 
• 2 Fit the seal dry, as supplied, taking care to avoid contact with the sealing lip.Do not degrease the seal as this will damage the material.
• 3 When fitting the new distance piece lubricate with clean engine oil. Do not use grease. 
• 4 When refitting the sump, apply a small bead of RTV sealant compound to both sides of the sump face at the seal aperture joint, and torque the sump fixing nuts and bolts to 20nm (15 lb ft.) aperture joint, and torque the sump fixing nuts and bolts to 20 nm (15 lb ft).

All returns must include a copy of the invoice. If the invoice is lost and cannot be located the return will be delayed.

We will not accept any returns after 45 days so please inspect your order upon receipt. (Cores Exempt)

Electrical parts are not returnable for any reason except in cases where the part is defective or the part was looked up incorrectly. Once an electrical part has been installed it can only be returned if found to be defective.

There is a 20% re-stocking fee assessed to all special order parts returns. (Cores Exempt)

Cores for re-manufactured parts must be returned to us in the original box will all the core tags attached. All cores must be fully assembled and with no external damage.

Should you receive a damaged package or part please notify UPS immediately, and then call us (800)851-9438, so that we can help to correct the problem.

All orders must be inspected upon receipt, if there is any damage is must be noted on the bill of lading. If damage is found after the shipment is accepted the carrier must be notified within 48 hours to be able to file a concealed damage claim.

Accessories installed at the time of the new vehicle purchase are covered for 36 months/36,000 miles, from the vehicle's in-service date, whichever occurs first, under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Accessories installed by the dealer after the new vehicle purchase are covered for 12 months, regardless of mileage, from the accessory installation date, or the remainder of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, whichever provides greater coverage.

Accessories purchased over-the-counter are covered for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Car covers are warranted for 12 months from the purchase date and are not covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty
