Alternator Conversion for Lucas C42

Fits Jaguar XKE 3.8, E-Type 3.8, Jaguar MK2 and Jaguar S-Type 3.4/3.8ltr. With Negative Ground and C42 Generator Fitted.

This is a alternator conversion for the C42 Generator as fitted to many vehicles including the above mentioned Jaguars. This unit is a direct replacement for the famous Lucas C42 Generator (Dynamo) with negative ground. 

For use with the W grooved double belt fitted to some Jaguar models you need to use your original pulley on the new unit as the shaft sizes are the same.

Made to keep the classic appearance by building an aluminum generator casing and incorporating a powerful 40 amp alternator inside the housing. Careful attention to detail such as dummy field coil screws and authentic front and back plate brackets making this alternator virtually indistinguishable from the original Lucas generator. Easy installation by using the original wires already in place, * Some wiring changes are necessary. This Alternator is identical in fitting to original units, requiring no brackets or modifications to the vehicle.

Electrical parts are not returnable for any reason except in cases where the part is defective or the part was looked up incorrectly. Once an electrical part has been installed it can only be returned if found to be defective.

There is a 20% re-stocking fee assessed to all special order parts returns. (Cores Exempt)

Cores for re-manufactured parts must be returned to us in the original box will all the core tags attached. All cores must be fully assembled and with no external damage.

Should you receive a damaged package or part please notify UPS immediately, and then call us (800)851-9438, so that we can help to correct the problem.

All orders must be inspected upon receipt, if there is any damage is must be noted on the bill of lading. If damage is found after the shipment is accepted the carrier must be notified within 48 hours to be able to file a concealed damage claim.

Accessories installed at the time of the new vehicle purchase are covered for 36 months/36,000 miles, from the vehicle's in-service date, whichever occurs first, under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Accessories installed by the dealer after the new vehicle purchase are covered for 12 months, regardless of mileage, from the accessory installation date, or the remainder of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, whichever provides greater coverage.

Accessories purchased over-the-counter are covered for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Car covers are warranted for 12 months from the purchase date and are not covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty
