Spark Plug Lead Conduit, RED

Fits Jaguar XKE 3.8* XKE 4.2, MK2, 420, S-Type 3.4/3.8, MKX, XJ6 Series 1 and early Series 2.

* Fits XKE 3.8 From 08/1964, Engine # RA7324 Onward This will fit to the cylinder head stud # 3 and 5 ** only. It will fit earlier models as well but will not be as original, those have been fitted to the #3 and 7.

Jaguar has fitted 4 different Spark Plug Conduits from the XK120 up To the XJ6 Series 2.

All of these conduits are made from vulcanized Fiber which basically are layers of papers pressed together. As far as our information goes all conduits started their lives being red, and then sprayed black but there have been evidence that some black vulcanized fiber ones have been fitted to later cars. Vulcanized fiber is almost completely pure cellulose, this is probably the reason why most of the painted one lost their paint. 

Starting from the XK120 the conduit C2415 was fitted to the LH side of the cylinder head fitted "backward" to cylinder head studs # 2 and 10.  The Ignition cables on these cars came from the back of the engine not the front.

From XK120 1953 Onward,  From Engine# W6697 Onward (Change from side entry to Top Entry Distributor cap) the conduit was fitted on the RH side of the cylinder head to cylinder head stud # 3 and 7 and the Ignition cables came from the front of the engine. This conduit has also been fitted to the XK140 and XK150 Cars

Jaguar XKE 3.8, introduction of conduit C23608 From 05/1964 From Engine # RA5634 to 08/1964 Engine Number # RA7323. C23608 was a direct replacement of C2451 the only difference was the shape of the High tension exit holes being reshaped from round to oval.

From 08/1964 From Engine # RA7323 Onward.  Introduction of the conduit C24126 and two engine lifting brackets. The location of conduit C24126 has changed now fitted to cylinder head stud # 3 and 5.

On the XJ6 we see the introduction of Conduit C34080 which is only fitted to the XJ6 Series one and Series two and was a black conduit fitted to cylinder head stud # 3 and 5 like C24126

All returns must include a copy of the invoice. If the invoice is lost and cannot be located the return will be delayed.

We will not accept any returns after 45 days so please inspect your order upon receipt. (Cores Exempt)

Electrical parts are not returnable for any reason except in cases where the part is defective or the part was looked up incorrectly. Once an electrical part has been installed it can only be returned if found to be defective.

There is a 20% re-stocking fee assessed to all special order parts returns. (Cores Exempt)

Cores for re-manufactured parts must be returned to us in the original box will all the core tags attached. All cores must be fully assembled and with no external damage.

Should you receive a damaged package or part please notify UPS immediately, and then call us (800)851-9438, so that we can help to correct the problem.

All orders must be inspected upon receipt, if there is any damage is must be noted on the bill of lading. If damage is found after the shipment is accepted the carrier must be notified within 48 hours to be able to file a concealed damage claim.

Accessories installed at the time of the new vehicle purchase are covered for 36 months/36,000 miles, from the vehicle's in-service date, whichever occurs first, under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Accessories installed by the dealer after the new vehicle purchase are covered for 12 months, regardless of mileage, from the accessory installation date, or the remainder of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, whichever provides greater coverage.

Accessories purchased over-the-counter are covered for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Car covers are warranted for 12 months from the purchase date and are not covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty
